List of Stem Courses in Engineering and Job opportunities
The first course offered is Petroleum Engineering, one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. Students with a degree in petroleum engineering learn to design equipment to deal with exploration, extraction, and production of oil and are also employed in the production of natural gas. The job opportunities in petroleum engineering are expected to grow by 8 % in the next 10 years.
- Computer Engineering
It is a common education for people who want to work in computer hardware, and it is also one of the highest paying jobs available in the markets. Computers engineers are building a variety of computer equipment, testing, and analyzing already established hardware.
- Aerospace Engineering
In the class, students are studying and understanding the complicated structures of advanced spacecraft and airplanes and the science behind them. Scientists are constantly exploring the universe and recently a spaceship from NASA hit the outer layer of the sun named the corona, so, the demand for outstanding Aerospace engineers will go on increase in the future.
- Nuclear Engineering
Nuclear engineers research and develop the processes, instruments, and systems used to derive benefits from nuclear energy and radiation. After World War II, the western world emerged as a champion for a free nuclear world. The demand for such engineers may drop in the future.
- Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineering deals with the manufacturing of food, drugs, household chemical, fuels, and chemicals used in machines. When the Corona pandemic outbreak in the world, the demand for drugs, medicine, sanitizers, and food increased. In the future too the demand for highly motivated and skillful chemical engineers will be high.

- Electrical Engineering
Students learned in the classroom, in the laboratory, and through field activities about how electricity functions. The invention of electricity has transformed our lifestyle and has played a major role in the economic development of all nations. In the future, too human life would be considered incomplete without electricity. The electricity demand will increase thousandfold in the future, so we need more people who understand electricity and the means to produce it in effective ways.
- Geological Engineering
The responsibility of geological engineers is to support the work of other engineers like finding a suitable location for civil engineers to carry out their business, environmental engineering, mining operations, and oil and gas projects by conducting geological, environmental, geophysical, and geotechnical studies. The Job opportunities in this field of Stem engineering are many but again we need students who can pay attention to minute details of the underground features.
- Marine Engineering
These engineers are the mastermind behind every watercraft, from defense to shipping to recreation. To build a strong, advanced, and most importantly a safe craft, they need to understand the hydrodynamics, machinery, performance testing, and many other skills to create seaworthy ships.
- Biomedical Engineering
Biomedical engineering combines multiple fields from biology to medical research to engineering. People with Stem degrees in this field of engineering can go into hospitals, research laboratories, and from designing medical equipment and tools for hospitals.
- Health & Safety Engineering
Health and Safety engineering combines the knowledge of engineering and health and safety to make it mandatory that no chemicals, machinery, software, or other products harm a human being.
- Environmental Engineering
As we know that human activities have damaged our environment, so spreading awareness about maintaining a clean and green environment has become more important today. These students create an environmental report, design environmental protection structures, and study the effects of infrastructure development.
The Mechanical engineering students are responsible for designing, redesigning, and analyzing the mechanical devices and thermal sensors. They usually work in an office setting but visit worksites whenever a piece of equipment needs their attention. The job market in this field is expected to grow by 7% in the future.
- Industrial Engineering
Industrial engineers are responsible to check the efficiency and productivity of all industrial processes, reduce production costs and improve product quality while ensuring the standards of employee safety, environmental standards, and government regulations.
The civil engineers are responsible to build roadways, bridges, and municipal buildings. These engineers can work in a variety of locations. The demand for skillful civil engineers is high around the world. When the CPEC project came into Pakistan, Chinese engineers were called to build roads and other infrastructure under the CPEC program because Pakistan lacked qualified engineers.
- Agricultural Engineering
Agricultural engineering degrees are vital to the development of environmentally safe yet effective agricultural systems, structures, and equipment. They look after problems like power supply, the uses of structures and facilities, pollution and environmental issues, and the storage and processing of agricultural products. Such engineers work in offices and sometimes visit agricultural settings whenever it is required of them. The job opportunities are also high in this market for students.
